5G upgrade of the Telefónica and Orange networks
- Scope
- All of Spain, for Telefónica and Orange
- The challenge
- Upgrade the mobile network and add 5G at a large number of sites, under the Spanish Government’s ÚNICO 5G programme, funded by the European Union.
- What we did
- Design of technical solutions for each site, with site survey reports, drawings, third-party documentation and solution automation.
- Result
- More than 500 sites upgraded with 5G since 2024, with special attention to rural areas.
Fibre optic network in Arahal (Seville)
- Scope
- Arahal, Seville
- The challenge
- Design the town’s fibre network, property by property, with the latest technologies.
- What we did
- Complete design of the FTTH network (routes, boxes and splitters) and its digitisation on the aGIS platform.
- Result
- A documented network, ready to roll out, consult and maintain from aGIS.
ICT for a new residential building in Seville
- Scope
- Seville, for an architecture studio
- The challenge
- Provide a four-storey building with every telecommunications service, in coordination with the architectural design.
- What we did
- Complete ICT project under Royal Decree 346/2011: TV and radio with provision for satellite, telephony, coaxial cable and fibre to every home, with floor-by-floor drawings and network diagrams.
- Result
- 10 user access points (9 homes + 1 shared room) with every service, and a project verified by the COIT, ready for approval.
Ducting to connect an estate in Lepe (Huelva)
- Scope
- “Las Carreras” estate (Ciudad del Caballo), Lepe (Huelva)
- The challenge
- Run new ducting from the existing operators’ manholes to a private estate 1 km away, along a municipal track between greenhouses and crops.
- What we did
- Deployment plan under the UNE 133100 standards: route on aerial imagery, manhole details, trench sections, a photo survey and the paperwork for the municipal licence.
- Result
- A route of about 1,000 m ready for the council licence, so any operator can bring fibre to the estate.

An engineering office with a name and a face
VARDA grew out of the career of Antonio Cepas, a telecommunications engineer. More than ten years of projects for operators, engineering firms and contractors gave him a complete view of the trade, from the initial analysis to the documentation that is approved and built.
