Deployment plan for new telecommunications ducting, from the operators’ manholes to a private estate, as the technical document for the municipal licence application.
- UNE 133100
- the ducting standards, applied along the whole route
- Made to measure
- manholes and ducts sized for their purpose
- Trenches
- suited to the service and the ground, defined together with the client
- Licence-ready
- the paperwork the town council requires
Civil works
- Scope
- “Las Carreras” estate (Ciudad del Caballo), Lepe (Huelva)
- The challenge
- Run new ducting from the existing operators’ manholes to a private estate 1 km away, along a municipal track between greenhouses and crops.
- What we did
- Deployment plan under the UNE 133100 standards: route on aerial imagery, manhole details, trench sections, a photo survey and the paperwork for the municipal licence.
- Result
- A route of about 1,000 m ready for the council licence, so any operator can bring fibre to the estate.
How we solved it

The complete route
The ducting starts next to the operator’s manhole, crosses the track and follows its left-hand verge to the estate’s box. We chose a verge with no vehicle traffic so every manhole sits in natural ground.

Every section, on aerial imagery
We draw every section on aerial imagery, in 9 detail drawings, so the council can see exactly where the trench will run.

Every manhole, on the ground
Each manhole is located by its coordinates and documented with photos of the spot where it will go. The photo survey is part of the plan.

The crossing and the manholes
The only asphalt crossing is solved with a 10 cm wide micro-trench. The manholes at each end are 60×60 cm, with room for splices and spare fibre; the intermediate ones, 30×30 cm, are only for pulling and inspecting the cable.
